social media coordinator

Crossing Borders is a Christian ministry and our content reflects our faith and our heart for refugee care. We are looking for a part-time Social Media Coordinator who has experience managing social content and channels for nonprofits or other Christian organizations. This position is part-time and is fully remote.

Our current need is to have unique and engaging content created for and posted to all of our social media channels with a goal of increasing fan/follower engagement. The ideal candidate will have experience creating, posting, responding to content and have great campaign ideas to attract more social awareness of our work on social networks including, but not limited to IG, FB, Youtube and LinkedIn (our content isn’t a good fit for TikTok).

Responsibilities:

  • Produce unique and engaging social media content focused on North Korean refugees as it relates North Korea, China, South Korea

  • Create and deliver to a social media calendar to continually engage and grow our social media presence

  • Measure performance and present results and findings to the Crossing Borders team

Required Skills and Experience:

  • A passionate storyteller with strong writing skills.

  • A confident, data-driven decision-maker with a sharp eye for detail and a deep understanding and proficiency in Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and Pinterest – with an interest in emerging platforms.

  • Bachelor's in English, Journalism, Marketing or related field experience

  • Minimum 1+ years related experience
